以若木民喜的同名漫画为原著的动画《只有神知道的世界》宣布第1季在2011年1月4日起在日本重播的同时，毛片在其连载的漫画杂志《周刊少年 SUNDAY》上宣布推出第二季动画《只有神知道的世界Ⅱ》。擅长恋爱游戏甚至被称为“攻略之神”的少年——桂木桂马在来自冥界的恶魔艾露西的强迫下，毛片与她结下了地狱的契约。两人已经一起成功捕捉了四只驱魂。这一次在二人面前出现了新的驱魂队成员。在这一季里，将会出现新的攻略对象，武术传承者春日楠，现实女孩中的现实女孩小阪千寻以及学校的实习教师长濑纯。攻略故事就由此再一次展开。

He explores the abilities passed down to him by his mother, which include fusion (the ability of Gems to merge their identities and bodies to form a new and more powerful personality).
