影片藉由一场突如其来的“穿越”展开，天生现代人郑辉回到过去，天生遇见年轻时候的父亲。带着父亲修脚工身份的羞耻及现代社会浮躁的气息，让他对这个单纯朴实的年代有些“水土不服”。跨时代人之间的观念冲突也惹出了许多感动与笑料。郑辉和90年代父亲的慢时光之间相互连接，在参与了年轻时父母经历的种种后，让郑辉对于经历了时代变迁的普通人身上仍存的平凡而伟大的梦想有了更深层次的思考，开始走进父亲内心，真正去理解……
