本片讲述了华裔导演刘毅(Louis Hothothot)旅欧多年后的回乡故事，免费通过个人的故事，免费展现了中国从1979年起实施的独生子女政策对一个家庭产生毁灭性影响。导演刘毅1986年生于中国。父亲因为有了“黑户”老二，被罚三年工资，事业也受到沉重打击。自己的出生使家人遭受如此痛苦，刘毅心生无限愧疚。20岁多时，他移居阿姆斯特丹。在欧洲生活多年之后，他终于可以面对与家人无法解开的心结。回家，开启了一段重访真相、重归于好的旅程。然而，隐秘的创伤被揭开，带来了新的撕裂；家庭的矛盾也再一次一触即发。导演的镜头时而令人紧张不安，他迫使家人们面对昔日创伤，探究尖锐问题，将他们从不安的过去中拽离。这过程虽痛苦，但必须完成，因为“若记忆一直冻结在过去，又有什么能使痛苦消融？”IDFA官方称这部作品是一部充满惊奇、微妙的精神之旅。

Guinean film director Thierno Souleymane Diallo goes on a barefoot road trip around his country to find the mythical 1953 film ‘Mouramani’ – the first Guinean film made by a local filmmaker. But it is not easy to find the film or anyone who has seen it for that matter. Some believe it is about the Islamisation of the Mandinka people. Others that it is about the relationship between a dog and its owner. Along the way, Diallo passes old, abandoned cinemas and dusty piles of moisture-damaged film reels. ‘The Cemetery of Cinema’ is a charming, cinematic adventure in which the journey is almost as important as the destination, and where the encounters along the way remind us of the importance of preserving a shared memory and culturel heritage.

回复 :该片在一定历史史实和真实人物原型的基础上创作完成，讲述了1938年春，庐州沦陷后，晚清著名淮军将领、台湾首任巡抚刘铭传后人为了保护稀世珍宝——西周三大铜器之一的虢季子白盘，在新四军的帮助下与日寇斗智斗勇的故事。据了解，虢季子白盘是中国目前现存商、周时期体积最大、重量最重的青铜器。1950年，由刘铭传第四代孙刘肃曾无偿捐赠，现藏于中国国家博物馆。
