待业青年王春生大学毕业后整日无所事事，军团一心想着组建摇滚乐队成为歌坛巨星但却屡屡受挫，军团其不务正业的消极态度引起父亲王建国的担忧，两人矛盾不断，王建国也因此而病危入院，王春生为了不让父亲担心而不得不接手父亲苦心经营的饭店，但其漫不经心的态度却使得饭店生意一落千丈，麻烦不断王春生在经营饭店的过程中突发奇想，联合后厨老实巴交的刘一守、痴迷凤凰传奇的逗逼祝安好、学习民乐勤工俭学的服务员卢晓萌等人组成了一支“摇滚乐队”，在磨合的过程中，几人经历了诸多啼笑皆非的“麻烦”，最终站在了音乐比赛的现场，虽然比赛最终以失败告终，但却让饭店闯出了自己的特色，而王春生也开始逐渐成长，理解了一直以来父亲的良苦用心。
