一转眼，大杳满男已经是一名小学生了，大杳为人舅父的寅次郎（渥美清 饰）回家庆贺，晚上，他从家里溜出去买醉，遇见了一位看上去穷困潦倒的老伯（宇野重吉 饰），善良的寅次郎将老伯带回了家里过夜，哪知道醉酒的老伯竟然将这里当成了旅馆，指指点点，挑三拣四。酒醒之后，老伯发现自己闹了大乌龙，十分的不好意思，于是要来了纸笔，一番龙飞凤舞。寅次郎拿着老伯的画去店里卖，竟然卖得了七万日元，此时的寅次郎才得知，这位老伯，竟然就是日本画大师池内青观。之后，寅次郎和老伯又意外的重逢了，两人一见如故，四处游玩，邂逅了善良热情的艺妓牡丹。
